Having started to make progress in my recovery from last years accident, I have been busy fulfilling the commitments I already had in place rather than taking on new bookings.  Although this has obviously had an impact on my business growth plan, I felt it was the best way of ensuring that my existing clients received my very best attention, while rebuilding my strength and testing my ability to provide the high level of service that I pride myself on.

On reflection, this has proven to be the right choice as although I have been able to complete my commitments, I do not believe I would have been able to commit to a higher workload.

So, onwards and upwards.  I am continuing to rebuild and strengthen physically and look forwards to the remainder of the year where I can hopefully start to plan for a busier 2020.

Thank you as always to Laura, My Girls and all of my Family and friends for the unconditional love and support you always give.

Looking forwards to 2019... So, as we come to the end of 2018, I thought I would take a moment to reflect on the years achievements.

DeanB Photography has continued to grow and was ahead of target of a 20% growth in weddings year on year and  a growth of 30% in total bookings.  We had taken our first corporate team building day bookings, increased our charity ball and school prom events.  I had also completed my CAA PfCO license for corporate drone photography and videography.

Unfortunately things came to a pause following an accident at a corporate warehouse, which resulted in me breaking my neck, along with a number of other serious injuries.  This has resulted in me having to focus on my recovery for the remainder of the year, taking my focus away from the business.  Fortunately I have some amazing friends, suppliers and support photographers that have enabled me to meet the majority of my bookings, as well as complete the launch of my new website.

I am pleased to say that the recovery is moving along nicely and I should be in a position to begin shooting once again in spring 2019.

I would like to thank my friends, family, suppliers and colleagues for all of the support... I would certainly not be in the position I am in now without you all.

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a Successful 2019.
